University housing vs private market
IULM has university residences and also publishes a large network of external housing partners and platforms. For incoming students, IULM states that residence places are limited and that demand is high; its Study Abroad Office also notes that it does not provide private-market search support for students who do not obtain residence housing.
If the university option is unavailable, does not fit your dates or does not match your housing preferences, the private market becomes the alternative. That is where location, documents, viewing logistics and speed matter most.
